Yeah, the early fights were really fun. I've got to be honest though, as I'm sure you'll know having access to our forums, while there are a few naysayers most of them are just doing that shitposting we're known for - just inwardly. I'd say the majority of S2Ners are just kind of laughing about the whole thing, or are chomping at the bit for a fight.

It's easy to just say "Attacking us from the front doesn't work, nor the sides, nor the rear. Don't attack us."

The purpose of my little piece of theory crafting was in trying to think of ways to spread CFC focus. If it's true that man-for-man we're better, which is up for debate anyway, and that you win because you can blob, well, wouldn't it make a difference to isolate sections of your manpower? Maybe not, but as it stands the CFC can beat us when the two sides collide en masse, so why not try for a policy of 'destruction in detail' when varying elements of a larger force find it more difficult to be mutually supportive?

That being said, splitting our forces could lead to us being even more overwhelmed in some areas. But hey, if I'm honest, I'd be happier just backs against the wall fighting with us and Raiden., who it turns out are really chill bros on comms. Again, nothing against -A-, I just think that, as I've said earlier somewhere, the main problem with the SoCo is that there are almost diametrically opposed play styles all trying to fit into one coalition, unlike the North.

You missed the part where the vc/nva actually did face the Americans in strategic battles.

The tet offensive while achieving much propaganda success almost wiped out the VC after they tried in vein to duke it out with the US army in the city of Hue. (One of places I have visited) the VC never really recovered from that and had to rely more and more on NVA support after that point

Begining in 1966, due to material shortages, the vc started leaning on the nva more and more, while still be more combat effective than the nva. Many tactics throughout the war that the nva used were copied over from said vc.

Khe sanh another place I visited.
You will know the Americans copied the french idea of a Dien ben phu type battle.
This time backed by B-52s along with a multitude of other aircraft and artilery support they destroyed so many of the attackers historians are still arguing over the number of NVA casulties.

The Americans, while surrounded and outnumbered, did not copy the French styled defense of Dien Bien Phu. Had they done so, they would have lost. Khe Sanh was much closer to supporting forces and was eventually reinforced by ground troops.

So my point is
When an attacker has overwhelming odds its in his interest to seek a descisive battle and the defenders will be stupid to play into their hands.

My point is if you knew your history you would have realized that the vc/nva had the numerical superiority, the tactical superiority, and the initiative.

Soco lacks all three. Relating this situation to the Vietnam War is idiotic.
