And now it has come to pass that I read about threads I've already read on Kugu on Reddit. Soon I will read about threads on Reddit on kugu and the circle of fail will be complete.
Once I was at a required training for a job I used to have. There was an Indian fellow who was in training with me whom I really liked a lot -- really funny guy. Anyway one of the great things about company training is that lunch is often provided. One of the days the lunch was a choice of chicken or steak fajitas. I love chicken, and my Indian friend was Hindu so he obviously wasn't having anything to do with the steak. By the time we got to the serving table, I asked him if there was any chicken left because I couldn't find any. He said "No, [Renn], I'm sorry but chicken is over." I couldn't help but laugh at that for a good ten minutes.
"Chicken is over" has since then became ingrained in my vernacular. I use it when trying to express that something is played out. It's one of my many annoying renn-isms, and I apologize for that. Anyway my point is that now even a pubbie like me thinks chicken is over on this bullshit, and I'm not even one of the cool kids.
