So we are all just waiting to see if Mitt Romney loses Michigan to start having unprotected liberal anal sex in the streets?

re: Olympics and Hitler - more or less I thought the idea was that the Olympics were supposed to transcend war. Also, China fucking OWNED with their opening ceremony last time around. The entire world is still trying to figure out if they're going to use all those drummers when they invade the moon.

The concept per se, or those of 1936? Because the later was a (admittingly spectacular) propaganda act to appear harmless and civil.
The facts have a strong anti-A- bias.

He just likes to hear himself talk. When you get an expert or an interview, your voice should never, under any circumstances, constitute more than 50% of what I hear. And it should probably be a lot less than that.

Well yes. I'm a great fan of the Olympics because it seems to be the last place where good sportsmanship is actually part of sports. Plus, even though Hitler was probably trying to use it as a platform not to seem like the world's biggest dickhead; because of the sentiments surrounding it, we made him look like an even bigger dickhead.

Re: Wolf Blitzer. People tolerated this guy for the most part because he's not a ranting and raving lunatic (his reporting is questionable, but he's not Jim Cramer or Keith Olbermann). However he totally jumped the shark with the holograms.

But crazy is what the primaries' voters are wanting so he is in a good position to sweep the nomination.
I've noticed that there's a pretty big disconnect between the general consensus of kugu and what's actually happening. It seems enough people have said it in this thread that people are taking it as fact.

It would be funny to see this go into a brokered convention. Since the rumored alternate candidates are probably worse then the current ones, Chris Christie, Sarah Palin, Mitch Daniels(the only one I somewhat like), Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush. Now unless one of the top 3 drop out soon or someone sweeps Super Tuesday it will probably lead to that.

Santorum seems pretty butthurt that Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are attacking him, obviously he doesn't understand what happens in a election campaign when you are the current leader/surging in the polls. Not to mention everything Ron Paul called Santorum out on was in fact true.

I missed that, what exactly was said? Also if Santorum can't handle debate politics he's really not going to like being president, where the other side frequently will call him names and probably steal his lunch money.

Pretty much Ron Paul called Santorum a fake. At least when it comes to being a fiscal conservative. Based on the fact that Santorum supported a couple bills like "No Child Left Behind", which now Santorum is against. Santorum called Paul out by saying that he is Romney's wingman, and that they are teaming up against him in Michigan.

"You just have to take a look at what his real objective is. If it's really going after trying to fundamentally change Washington, why is he being the wingman for
Mitt Romney throughout this campaign," he added. "So let's see who's calling who a fake."

Paul actually doesn't like santorum outside of politics. Paul and Romney don't agree on policy very often but they're pretty friendly on a personal level.

Sandyvagorum is a dickhead and nobody has a problem trashing him.

I hope Santorum wins, just because there's no way he'd be elected President. It always amuses me when the overly-religious fuck themselves election after election. Contraception? Really? There are 7 billion people here already, you're gonna fight birth control?

Not that I'm looking forward to 4 more years of Obama, but this year's Republican field is... OK, well, it's no different from most other years for Republicans, but it's 2012 now and they look worse and worse as they refuse to evolve.

Seriously. Contraception. Yeah, let's put that level of fucktardery in charge.

Give me a republican that admits we're not being terribly overtaxed, commits to reducing government size and waste (and consequently gets spending under control), and leads from a fiscal and hawkish right with total antipathy to social causes and I'll vote him in for dictator.

Seriously, I don't get why the GOP is so easily trolled into sounding crazy on social issues.

Sorry, we've got Republicans like this:

Wyoming 'doomsday bill' moves forward, minus aircraft carrier

Yeah, Wyoming should totally have its own aircraft carrier. For all that ocean.

Hey, who knows, it still might. Those scientists were wrong about global warming, maybe they are wrong about islands not being dirt piled on top of a poorly balanced giant sea turtle.

Apparently Santorum robocalled a large number of democrats in Michigan to have them vote for him. He bitched and moaned when Romney did the same thing in New Hampshire. I wonder if he realizes that democrats who did vote for him did so more to ruin republican chances in an open election than out of dislike for Romney.

Mitt Romney secures wins in Arizona and Michigan
"We didn't win by a lot, but we won by enough and that's what counts," Mr Romney said in Michigan.
In Arizona, he leads with 47% of votes, and heads Rick Santorum in Michigan by 41% to 38% with 92% counted.
Michigan was seen as vital for Mr Romney, born in the state where his father was governor, but had struggled to win over conservative voters.
Rick Santorum addressed supporters in Michigan, moments after he reportedly called Mr Romney to concede defeat, thanking voters for their support.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Congressman Ron Paul did not compete in Arizona and Michigan, focusing on contests scheduled for next week.

Tbh he can't be too smug about winning Michigan. He only won by 3% in a state that he was born in, his father was governor of, and that he won by almost 10% in 2008 over John McCain. Also add the the fact that Michigan is not a winner take all primary, and that Michigan was deducted half of its delegates for holding their primary early(seriously why do states do this?). It can be seen as a slight momentum change for him, but as far as a overall victory, hardly. Though I was surprised that he actually won it, considering how awkward his speeches where, and how bad he pissed them off after slamming the auto bailouts.

I generally vote GOP, though it's more of a lesser of two evils thing for me.

I'm relieved that it looks like Romney will be wrapping it up soon. I'm not exactly his biggest fan but he's the least worst of the candidates running on both sides.

I wish candidates on both sides would stop trying to split Americans into peer groups. I'm fucking sick of the arguments regarding religion, gays, abortion, and the like. I prefer to ignore someone's foibles. I don't want to choose whether to condemn or celebrate their choices or lifestyles.

To me a successful pol would get a reasonable safety net in place, reduce government cost through attrition and consolidation (yeah it takes longer but shocks the economy less), and raise taxes on the rich and the non-paying poor. I'm fucking tired of knowing I pay a higher percentage of my income than the Clintons and that the "poor" can afford cable TV and cars but can't afford a few hundred bucks in income taxes a year.

Percentage wise I paid more taxes than Mitt Romney last year. At least, if the estimates are right and he's paying 15%~.

I was all raging about him only paying 15% until I did the math and discovered that I only paid 13% in the end.

Being a landlord and writing off mortgage interest and all the repairs to the property (last year SUCKED) makes a huge difference.

Been there done that when I was working construction and handyman. Its fucking awful.
[Arrador] possesses a considerable understanding of ship configurations, strengths and weakness. He gives clear and purposeful instructions, is good at taking advantage of the fleet-composition he's dealt, and never loses sight of the main goal: fun. This, paired with an excellent tolerance for strong drink gives him an almost Churchillian capability to win, despite being completely pissed on booze most of the fleet operation.

Same here. I wish they's kill off all limits and deductions and adjust the rates downward. Even if they still leave a graduated rate in place, the middle class would not get fucked as hard as they do today. Not poor enough to be parasitic or rich enough to sequester money in shelters.

Apparently, Sandy took back his concession (through his intermediaries of course). Someone on his staff should tell him that political battles are for big boys and when you lose, you shake the other guys hand and bear your disgrace.

As it turns out, because of the way it's all districted, Santorum ended up with more delegates than Romney in MI anyway, 17-13:

You know what we need in 2012? More recounts.

With Madbro Newt and Hermann Caine and the rest, I don't think we're particularly high on "big boys" in this campaign.

Whole bunch of reasons, mostly related to the fact that the state delegates knew there would be a lot of GOP candidates and that the longer they spent campaigning against each other the less likely the GOP nominee would look good against Obama. Their prediction has more or less come true - the last six months have provided Obama's campaign more anti-Romney fodder than Romney's last twenty years combined. Only part of this was Romney's fault (like his 15% tax fumble or his elitist/snobbish outbursts) while most of it comes from the fact that the GOP as a whole is still on the fence about supporting any one candidate.

Meanwhile, the Dow is back to 2008 level and the unemployment rate is dropping, which is just about the best campaigning Obama could hope to do at this point in the race.

Here is a pretty cool dashboard for the GOP primary race.

I heard that Romney had a lot of GOP endorsements. According to Huffington(shut up bitch!) Post he nearly has them all! Pretty sad that Santrorum only has 4 or so. If you have less than Newt, who was run out of his leadership position, that is a bad sign.

I apologize for this being only 'semi-related' in that well, Bob Morris is a Republican.

    But come on, seriously?

I'm ashamed to call myself a Hoosier sometimes, I really am.

Edit: And I'm eating a box of Do-si-dos right now, so fuck you Bob, these things are delicious.

I cringed when I heard about that. Even after all the heat his apology was pretty shitty and forced, since he still said he would vote against the resolution, and still doesn't realize that Girl Scouts aren't really what he accuses them of.

Also for those who care Romney won Wyoming, and I'm praying that old Newty loses Georgia.

The last job my wife hired for, she got 400 resumes.

Out of those 400, only four of them were free of typos, formatted correctly, professionally made.

Sometimes unemployment isn't Obama's fault. This nation is full of retards, and 2000-2008 there was a lot of extra retard money around.

Nobody I know with actual job skills that are relevant to today's market has had trouble finding a job.

edit: also amusing to no end that people think Obama can fix something as large as the real estate crash in as little in 4 years. Too many fast food drive throughs have ruined people's perception of time completely.

What is somewhat interesting that I didn't realize, is that most if not all states on Super Tuesday are NOT winner take all this year. Which means if Romney doesn't clear the field, then this clusterfuck will continue onward.

Edit: Also regarding the Michigan primary they ended up splitting delegates 16-14 Romney.

Interesting to see that Santorum's hanging in there despite Romney having 10x the funding....

According to that graph, employment is dropping even the alternative metrics they display.

Hope you guys end up with another retarded republican. Should be the final push America needs to become completely bankrupt and socially isolated. With not even the Canadians to care for you.
