During a loldraeks roam, I noticed the timer on D-G coming out during our prime roaming time. We suited up in our typical fleet comp. 40 dudes in Muninns/few lach/dics Btw, we still get reported in AAA intel as ‘Black Leg’ and in ‘Sniper hacs.’ Anyways, I’ve just been chillin’ with prober alt in D-G for about 45mins. A rouge RZR Apoc fleet appears and disappears. Other scouts are watching NC. and WN (&co) supers logging into staging systems. Our fleet talked about LoL for 40mins nearby. Fyi, I’m terrible at LoL. Cyno goes up in D-G and in come roughly 30 supers, 30 carriers, 1 erebus. Combined DRF/WN/NCDot Abaddon fleet bridges into T-R next door to D-G, numbers were at roughly 30-40 abaddons.
We decide to chase around the RZR apocs for a bit before they burned home and drop slings on every gate behind them so we give up and turned around. So I’m still watching DRF Abbadongs in T-R, who have warped to our in-gate. Fuck it, let’s game face this. We jump in, reps are holding and dongs are dropping like its hot. Bam, cyno up on damnation and in come the supers from next door. We score a few more kills before the fighters become too intense and we’re forced off the field. We lost a couple heros like VONQ who decided to decloak when primary got broadcasted not when told to decloak. I got to headshot Vonq’s pod (ffff uuu unfairbanks) at a safe.
Still lurking like a champ, I notice there’s no bubbles up so we warp to gate and jump past the supers hoping DRF will gfgfgf us and follow. No dice, except some hero tackle. Mexican standoff commences until we see their supers warping off field and cyno still up on their damnation. I think (don’t quote me on this) but a thanny jumped to the cyno which was meant only for supers. As supers warped off, in we jumped, blasted a few more tackle and scorp/drakes then headshot to the thanny as supers land back on grid. Lost quite a few muninns at this point (myself incl) to the alphadongs but were all smug because word came that nync was spacemad about the carrier loss. Warp off and align back. No bubbles up again so jump out and reapproach. This time there’s a bunch more tackle on grid – I figure nync ordered whoever died to reship to tackle. We jump in, expecting AAA support to be bridging in. They fail cyno’d and we were forced to burn tackle and then gtfo.
Next, AAA get sorted finally and they jumped a bunch of geddons into T-R. What’s left of our muninns land on grid and we take down a few before nync goes ‘I’ve got the biggest dong of them all’ and dd’s a loki. AAA are jumping out (apparently into ncdot) and we warp off. Y U bring faction fitted loki commences. Isk efficiency is so main stream.
Fleet goes home to play LoL.

A good SSD is worth it if you can afford it. Just had to throw that in there. SandForce controllers have been the best price/performance/reliability for a while now, there's a pretty good roundup of consumer drives here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4421/t...ge-ssd-roundup. My workstation at work pisses me off whenever I reboot, it has a measly Raptor, it's a shit load better than 7200 RPM drives but nowhere near a good SSD. But yeah, for video editing mechanical drives are just fine, lots of sequential read/writes, which is where they don't suck compared to SSD's.
Oh and to get back on topic, Russians will conquer all of null, death to all supers, e-honor yada yada. Did I miss anything?

Macs are the best computers ever, only people that can't afford them think differently. Even though the iMac 27" has some nice specs, it will still run Eve a million times better if running a Windows client.
For reference, I have a MBP 15" (i5) and it runs Eve runs better on the virtual copy of Windows than it does on straight up OSX. Is that Apple's fault? No it's CCP's. But can you blame them for that as WELL as all their other sins?

I was talking purely hardware-wise, since if I weren't gaming I'd be using Kubuntu instead. I've used both of them fairly extensively, but I've never used OSX, so pray tell, what makes OSX so much better that you can actually unironically say "faggot 7"?

I haven't had any experience with Kubuntu. But hey, if it works for you that's cool. I'd say try a Mac. I took the plunge for a Macbook Pro 15" (I say plunge as it cost more than it would cost to build a quad core SLI beast). It rarely moves from my house, but it's still a gorgeous machine. Never have I used a laptop at a desk and not longed for a mouse. Then Apple came along and converted me.
Computers are lowly appliances. They're not worth getting nearly as worked up over as Kuerig vs Mr. Coffee or Viking vs Kitchenaid.
Laptop-wise I probably won't argue against apple making a good alternative, but desktop-wise they don't distinguish themselves that much.
As for OS-wise, I'll live with Windows 7 because I do play games and I really don't feel like adding another thing to the mix that can fuck things up (and 7's UI converted me over from XP after more than 9 years service). But the main reason I'm not even considering OSX, and I'd rather go for Kubuntu, lies more with how apple is behaving and how it's limiting the OS to "certified hardware" than the technical merits of it. If OSX had the kind of penetration Win7 had, and had as many games as Win7, I'd have an actual incentive to use it, but as it doesn't I'm sticking with Win7 for my gaming needs, and I'll keep Kubuntu as my fallback OS. It may require a bit more of a technical know-how, but that's why I like it; it weeds out the worst of the retards. And it has literally no restrictions on what you can do with it.

No real sov action. IO sniping systems in Immensea and RED sniping them back. WTF has dropped SBU's in a some of the Tene systems but they usually dont last long. A few cap POS's have been killed. Mostly just skirmishes between IO and the WTF coalition.
