I don't belive the way about which you have proceed in this whistleblowing has been done in the correct way, and i was an absolute advocate to see you banned in the COAD forum post.
HOWEVER. that being said, I have seen an air of co-operation from this site recently that i had not seen before so I am curious to the timing.
If the investigation comes in and there is shown to be no proof of dev misconduct, I will feel no remorse for you. If the investigation comes in and substantiates what you have said, that is another matter altogether.

There is an obvious problem here, though, which is that the entity investigating wrongdoings by CCP... is CCP.
That's the very definition of conflict of interest, and if you don't think it makes their investigations suspect, you are deluded.
If you make the assumption that everyone in CCP is a cheat then maybe you have a point. CCP have a great deal at stake here and they are pretty much fucked no matter what way this thing goes down now. If they have any forsight, they will not want the same thing cropping up in the future, so I imagine it is in their best interest to knock any shit that may be happening on the head now and forever more.
This isn't just about Dev misconduct, there is also BoB cheating, macro'ing, benefitting from macro mining etc...

No. Their best interest is to convince the public that they have either done no wrong, or that they have done wrong but they have dealt with it fully. And then to make sure no further leaks happen.
I believe that it's currently impossible for CCP to convince the public that no wrongdoing has taken place (even if that happens to be the truth). They are under no real obligation to reveal everything that they have found, however. In fact, it would be foolish of them. They will reveal as much as is necessary to convince people that the corruption has been rooted out, and then they'll focus their efforts on becoming even more opaque and impenetrable.
This is why kugutsumen was banned, and this is what I find unacceptable.

I guess it depends on what you meant by "shit". If you mean devs cheating, I disagree. If you meant people finding out about devs cheating, then yeah, I agree.
This is very correct. However there is nobody else to do it. Either side would find some bias with the investigators and you would be no further ahead then you are now. By investigating it themselves, CCP also maintains control of what will be released.
This is incorrect. By Banning him, they are merely saying that they do not wish his presesence in EVE anymore. The allegations against BOB are not under investigation, and i dont forsee at any point CCP carrying out those investigations. Allegations against Dev's are highly serious. Against other players it is just something they receive on a daily basis, likely in the hundreds.
As i have stated before, there is no reason for bans, they maintain the right to ban anyone at any time as per the EULA. The nuisance that kugutsumen has caused them may have been the trigger, as may have been a desire to remove this event happening again in the future should the investigation turn up nothing to corraberate what kugutsumen has made claims too.
Then Eve will die rather quickly.

Only an extremely small percentage of the EVE populace was ever even interested in this event. A smaller proportion interested enough to gather all the facts. Ignorance is bliss and EVE regardless of an im-perfect system (which I would still rank among the highest of MMo's out there) is still fun to play.

I stated what I know. This site was getting well over a thousand unique views a day. That still does not represent even 10% of the EVE community. I do not doubt that a larger percentage of the community heard about it, but the reaction seemed very mixed. Many people, BOB and not-BOB one one side, with a large contingent also on the other side.

all i see is a very good reason for the devs to try and hush-hush this matter.
i don't think it will kill eve entirely even if it does go as badly as possible for CCP. i've seen worse happen in other games and they continue to exist to this day, albeit with a less enthusiastic playerbase and possibly smaller numbers...
ccp's big mistake in all this is thinking they can truly censor something on the internet. not yet, at least. and banning kugutsumen is a horrible thing to do PR-wise. Kug. have plenty of opportunities to steal from people's EVE accounts, hijack personal e-mail accounts for financial gain, actually delete enemy forums rather then spread their spaceship secrets everywhere and leave them otherwise intact. he hasnt done any of that.
Ok you can argue he violated the EULA, but the eula really doesn't mean anything. they dont and can't possibly enforce it fully and fairly(i mean what have we seen happen to the people that posted kugutsumen's peronal info on eve-o?), its up to them who they want banned or not. personally i think they should, in the very least, unban him with an apology.

The world is so diverse that it will be really hard to change opinnions in the same direction by their own will. Own interest will rule in the end, unless kugutsumen finds a way to talk to even the mission runners or the media (this will be forcing ccp's hand though)

Threats aside, I think the important thing to consider is the appearance of misconduct, and the loss of confidence and credibility.
Personally I can understand why CCP wants its developers to play EVE, if they like the thing they are making then its a sort of.. work of love thing. If you couldnt stand the game you worked on I wouldnt imagine you would work as hard.
At the same time, the appearance of misconduct here is very high. I personally helped run a tmorpg - aka a mud (tiny multiplayer online role playing game.) The admin staff was allowed to have player characters, and most of us did. There was constant allegations of cheating, setting players stats, etc..
Despite our best attempts at equity, there is one thing you basically can never stop a dev character from having an advantage in, and that is information. I would be highly surprised if some Dev deliberately cheated in Eve, just spawning T2 BPOS or somehow aligning the T2 BPO lottery to choose his character. However these devs probably know when new BPOs are going to be released, when events happen, things like that. In effect Devs characters gain an unfair hidden advantage. And in a game like Eve, where there are frequent bugs, server spikes and various other technical difficulties, having more information is almost inevitably going to give the devs the effect of cheating, and theres basically no way you can police it aside from disallowing dev characters. Im not sure CCP wants to take that step (I'm pretty sure they dont.) If they arent willing to do so, then getting rid of people like Tentacle Seduction, despite the appearance of misconduct, and resulting loss of confidence, is a logical choice, regardless of the results if their investigation, especially if they feel he violated the EULA.
Ultimately the question boils down to this. Chewbacca is a wookie. But he lives on Endor. Now Wookies are from Kashyk. If Chewbacca is a wookie, you must aquit.

imo the biggest problem is with people getting advance knowledge of events, like the LV hel. devs are too highprofile and their job too valuable to risk compared to the ISD, aurra actors and all volunteers, and GMs that might make biased decisions based on who they are judging
