Be interesting to see how eager PL leadership is to take a contract which is likely to be a LOT of structure shooting and limited fights. I assumed that DRF would spend a month or two identifying all the CSAAs and then go down there and blitz em all, rather than actually going for the sov grind which doesn't really mean much in the long term.
If PL does leave as well for whatever reason, that leaves Branch/tribute tech pretty much wide open for CF acquisition. Maybe the sov too if they can find a decent alliance to take it.
I'd have to agree that setting us timers and just taking fights when it's convenient should be a winning strategy. Hiring PL as structure shooter/us tz boogeyman will be incredibly expensive, especially if it comes at the cost of their venal income. In addition, DRF have no way of holding the space and will just get rolled back.
I've always been surprised at how quickly alliances fold from losing space, especially when the resilience to be able to lose it and maintain coherency is one of the best ways of actually keeping it.
I am sure the CF will be happy to go after the Russians tech moons in the north, I mean come on wouldn’t it be good to add RA, XEATHXX and WN to the “head shot” VFK coalition?

White Noise or any other of the Russian Entities Solar/ xxdeath never attacked(or tried too I should say) Deklein in the first place. The only reason I could see the CF trying to get Branch would be cause "White Noise DDOS our Mumble/TS3" whichever it was I forget. Tribute is a different matter, but as was already tried NC. Evoke and the rest didn't fair too well in Deklein, they had their moments with their super blob as we know, but I bet Mittani would be willing to leave a few targets around them. Last thing you want to do would be pissing off the Ruskies by attacking Branch. Lest that super blob descend upon you. I know I've had it happen to me lul.
Thinking of all them supers PL/Evoke/NcDot had that was without the Russian ones. Even though the goons are great on a subcap level there's only so long you could hold out against that many supers.

I still think dropping an outpost in Provi just to have a base is ridiculous. There's plenty of NPC stations WN could stage out of, close to Catch (from Curse, from Stain, from Khanid...), that could serve their purpose well.
(Incidentally, it's bordered by CVA systems on all sides (even the Catch side). Not that it means much in reality, I just thought it was odd symbolism)
With the amount of ISK in game why wouldn't they drop a station. what is a few bill ISK in today's game.....
PS i am seeing something interesting/sad happening in EvE. Everyone is eather: "dont piss off DRF or they will stomp you: As in; living within the tolerance of DRF", or "already a official pet or henchman of the DRF". Seems we have already become a Chinese server. CCP all your game changes in the last 1,5 year have made the game more one sided then it already was.

Ya, I thought we had moved past the "DRF owns Eve abloobloobloo" shit. Raiden, Evoke, NCdot, PL, hell even WN, aren't "DRF". The "DRF" (Legion and RED, and sometimes solar) are not exactly spanning the map. A bunch of alliances were pushed into a bloc by the aggressive action of the old dominant bloc. Now they're on top and throwing their weight around. Soon the balance of power will change and one or more new dominant blocs will arise. Let's remember that the exact same shit was being said about NC/goons not even 5 months ago.

My memory isn't all that great but did the DRF manage to accomplish much of anything before PL and Raiden showed up? Sure they took sov in several systems but if I remember correctly, few if any were through combat and timers. I won't be surprised if I'm misremembering but I thought they pretty much got the majority of early systems opportunistically.
Ok I understand from lurking on here for years that there is not much love for -A- here. That's allright with me. All of us, we play the game to our strengths.
If I would be DRF would I hire PL? Yes.
Would I drop every SCAP I have? Hell yea.
There is no point blaming your enemy by using all their means they have to win. Same goes for us, we will time structures at 2am just to make attackers alarm clock. We will make your life miserable. You drop titans we will piss you off any way we can.
Take the space, stations whatever. We will move to LGK, fuck your shit up from there. We have all the time in the world and do not have the need to protect Technetium up north.
What do you think will happen when Northeners find out landlord isn't home? They will go and get themselves some moongoo gold.
In the meantime we will fight when it suits us, move away from ge if we have to and see how it goes.

I have another scenario for you. After next one or two cycles of -A- leaders becoming bitter and leaving to join PL (taking some supers with them) or play LoL (RMTing a few supers to buy new heroes, slots or good looks) -A- turns into total shit and everyone forget it ever existed.

To be fair to triple A they have picked their shit up, maybe not to an ergonomically comfortable position, but at least they dont leave shit stains everywhere they go now. Although we have seen quite an improvement in our fleets these last months, I would still say we have a long way to go to catch up to the rest of SW.

ROL was so bothered by the idea of a fight with a handful of t3/logi a few days back that they organized ships and closed a wormhole in order to go back to shooting red Xs in peace. 2nd time I've seen a nullsec alliance do that in 1.5 years in wspace (other was initiative associates). I guess there are various reasons, but groups who aren't eager to kill small groups of t3s are probably not interested in fighting large groups of supercaps.

I was there fighting in 020 and this was my observations: DRF paid off [insert fail RAGE pet here] to drop their sov on the border of geminate, NC took back all but 3 systems I believe. DRF had 020 and a few more. They managed to grab sov in 3 more systems in about a month. NC/DRF had one of the biggest supercap fights ever seen, both sides lost a ton and noone was the real clear winner. DRF was failing to get traction in Gem but they were holding their systems. NC was hitting their structures in USTZ with no opposition. The war was going nowhere but slowly but surely NC was gaining ground (or noone was winning). DRF hires PL and then the rape train settles in and overwhelms RAGE/ME. Contrary to popular belief, morsus mihi pilots were actively involved in the fighting, both subcap and capital, but then we got overwhelmed by the incredible number of supers the new blob could bring. MM decided I guess to be cautious with supers, this overcaution meant we simply could not save Gem/Vale. The merits of this decision can be debated, but MM still has nearly its entire super fleet intact, so that's something I guess. From a grunt's perspective, we didn't understand where our supers were and many of the subcap pilots just said fuck it basically. PL brought an incredible number of caps and much needed USTZ presence (USTZ was the only real strength the NC had against DRF). The rest is well-debated and thoroughly documented history.
Edit: and of course, we failed to win a single meaningful battle against the PL tengu fleet, which further contributed to subcap pilots staying docked or hiding when PL was around, or didn't bother x'ing up for fleets to just sacrifice our battleships anymore.
