It started with a B-FC, who started a blind engagement by just throw the supers in that system, because he thought he is almighty and what bad could happen? Later A-team FCs tried to repair it and save SCs. The biggest mistake was Titans vs SC in low sec. It also did not help, the big reinforcement fleet could not jump in due to lag and clear off dictors. Becasue of the lag the battle took quite long until NC gave up. It was not possible to bring reinforcements in the system. It was a clusterfuck. Everybody, who is not a retarded hater propaganda kid maybe remember this battle and once you did, then try to do simple 1+1 which leads to the conclusion. NC did fight like PL in Fountain. What PL experienced in Y-2ANO happened to NC in Uemon. The biggest blow to moral was not even the lost ships. It was realizing how broken and lagged the battle was. I remember very well, PL was whining weeks about the lag in Y-2 and how their titans did not disappear 15 min after logoffski. I would have wished, CCP gave them the titans back. It is always crap and fail by CCP to lose a ship, because game mechanics are broken. However the lag alone did not decide the war.
If odds are against somebody, there is not much he can do. Same for WN, everybody can call them later after their defeat cowards and weak, throw every mud, you want. Fact is, they totally lost the momentum vs Goons. Once this happened, it is almost impossible to stop it. Goons have to make a mistake, like stop their invasion, split their forces or something to give them time to regroup. The war for the old NC was over after Uemon and O2, once NC Superpilots realized, they still wait on their reimbursment titans, while guys like James Kavourias sat the other day in a new Erebus and overall the Raiden./PL/DRF/RA/NC./WN fleet has way more Supers than the old NC. The old NC did not fight for Tribute, because Goons did not bring their 1000 man blob, which was their last chance. The enemies outnumbered the NC supers by far. It is always better to lose a region instead of a Superfleet. This is why you see regions change hands fairly often, but supers die way too slow, compared to the production rate of them. This makes the game more and more imbalanced. There is a Cartel of a few big groups, who can built Supers in large numbers. Supers can only be used in a big fleet, if you have the biggest fleet on the Server.

Not often I defend Grath, but when it comes to titans he's correct with the 4 highlights, or at least 3 of them. The fitting.. well it means a bit, but it's still a strong You Are Not Your Ship case. If you look at PL titans and their kill records after they all drop you'll see a few of them are actually really good at it while most suck. It's not that complex but still somehow even among titan pilots most don't understand speed/range/transfersal (or can even spell it)
Supercarriers are much more idiot proof though
