Regardless, his basic conjecture that this is a power-play under the guise of an invented "merc contract" is eminently plausible. You win, you take space and tech as a "bonus"; you lose, it was all for ~gudfytes~ and imaginary "contract money".

It's not a bad play for Init. & co., Geminate has 13 tech moons, Vale has 30. The 50b number isn't to far off. RA and Solar are busy elsewhere fighting, a few fleets might arrive to defend tech moons timed into deep Rus TZ but the entire region might fall to Init & co. before anyone even notices. With the swelling of Init Merc's in the last week they could ride the activity wave like Goons did for their invasion of Branch and grab most of the region before any major entity even gets around to caring.

Besides the 13 tech moons in Gem and it's proximity to the Forge/Jita the region sucks monkey balls. I lived there for a bit back in 07/08, the whole region is seriously lacking on good space, it might be good as a tech moon base for Init. & co to start off with but for general membership no. They didn't call it the "Arm pit of EVE" for no reason. Guess we could call it the New Jersey of EVE now, that would fit. Just like NJ it's a dirty, shitty place, and only a few things are worth while there. But everyone who's lived there or lives there currently will say it's great and awesome.

With conflicts the way they are around EVE atm, I think Gem will fall fully into Init. & co.'s hands in about 2 weeks. They have enough supers in those alliances to RF stations, I-hubs and POS's really damn quickly. Good luck to em, seeing the map have a new unfriendly region right in the middle of the East would be a great thing.

dotlan tech moons count is off for geminate and vale (most null regions actually)

geminate is 25-30 (28 i think), and I've heard quotes for vale being as high as 55, though my guess is somewhere closer to 45.

If you check the times on those kills you'll see almost all of those kills were between 20:54 and 21:36 and actually we jumped on their camp (or they were waiting for us dont know).

Here are 3 SS. First one right after we jumped on them and burned like there is no tomorrow

Second one is when it was coming to an end. And the last one is when we held the field and start looting.

Yeah, we lost two moons because we fail at stronting. Apparently it was stronted when we took the moons, then we later got sov in the system and that changes how much stront you need, so being Test we didn't bother to restront it.
