NEM3 - Obstergo Review from the Beginning

I’ll start this off appropriately… “See what had happened was…”

We joined NEMTHREESISDOT a while back when they were still members of Querious under the reign of Archiebald the 1st, Dictator of FAIL. When we joined, they told of us a leadership structure that allowed the members to make decisions and lead the alliance. They had what they called the Deliberating Assembly (DA’s) who were the senior leadership (overseers if you will) and the Corporate State Council (CSC) which was the CEO’s and this structure reflected a form similar to an extent to a republican government. The structure worked well enough, however at the end of the day, they had no redundancy and communication flow was poor.

After Evoke left Delve, FAIL and NEM3 talked about essentially splitting up the three constellations that NEM3 currently hold and sharing the profits. NEM3 DA’s at the time, wanted to get out from under the shadow of Archie and decided to jump on the delayed communication between FAIL and NEM3. They began the grind at a very tedious pace. As the rest of the Southern Coalition fought the fronts, NEM3 took advantage of that time to establish themselves and begin solidifying the holders of Delve into a form of coalition. NEM3SIS, Pax Romana Alliance, Divinity, Pirate Nation, and a bit later The Forsaken, formed a correctly named coalition, Delve Delinquents or trolled by one of my corpies as the Double D Coalition.

Quite a bit of small stuff happened through this timeline, like Archie threatening to reset NEM3 weekly, NEM3 and Co. evicting Banderlogs Alliance to help Nulli Secunda install Pirate Nation, and NEM3 evicting Omega Vector and pet Silent Requiem for subversive actions against the Delve Holders.

Let me be clear here, I am not defending any of these alliances that were given, GIVEN, this space. We didn’t earn it and these alliances didn’t keep it. This is just the timeline and for the record. Nulli Secunda eventually asked us when NEM3 would actually be helping the Southern Coalition. By this point, I had become a DA and the Military XO for NEM3. I told them that we would be deploying with them within the next couple weeks. And this was the plan.

Then the “Greatest Backdoor Deal in History” happened. RA was given Delve and Querious. FAIL agreed to the deal, Nulli did their thing, and NEM3 said “we are staying and fighting”. Eternal Syndicate joined NEM3 along with other allies in MO- and the chestbeating began. Alliance mails were going out to rally the troops and hype the coming fights. I would imagine most of you have read some of them on Foreplay, but they have been leaked and I’m sure looking at them now, especially after recent events, are lulz-worthy.

Today a mail gets released. NEM3 is evacuating. I later find out that the decision was made to take an RA offer of evacuation and dropping SOV in the NEM3 systems. Rally the troops, blueball them, evacuate them, and tell them everything is going to be alright. I send a mail to my guys, “We’re out”. We stayed to fight for our home and support our alliance, but they are abandoning this impending war because, to them, it is smarter to take the money and move now. NEM3 snubbed the Southern Coalition to fight for their home and then decided to tuck tail and run without a single attempt. No major loses, No Cap Fleet welps, nothing…

NEM3SIS dug their own grave, bit off more than they could chew and even had the opportunity to prove themselves, but ran. Had they stuck to their guns, they may (probably would) have still been destroyed by RA and Co., but at least they would have tried. NEM3 now comes off as an alliance that has never had to earn their place at the table because honestly, they haven’t. Archie gave them a shot, they squandered it. We took advantage of events on the fronts and took a chunk of Delve, and when it came time to fight for our free space, they ran.

And in conclusion… “80+ PVP Corp looking for Strong Nullsec Alliance…”
