Venal and Surroundings: Prevention of Animal Cruelty

The two major coalitions stand at the cusp of war. The events of Asakai provided a debilitating taste of what could be expected when fights occured on such a large scale. In the wake of Asakai, both coalitions stand with bated breath, a cold standoff, a quiet before the storm.

Meanwhile in the East, the war against Solar continues at a monotonous rate, the Russian infrastructure being paved over in the face of modernization and revolution.

However, in the North, tucked away from the major war fronts of nullsec, a travesty goes unaddressed. SpaceMonkey's Alliance continues to live. An alliance that thrives on belittling it's membership and on commissar'ing it's members over small, mundane things. An alliance so inept that they have to pay the two individuals who FC for them (they recently tried to block this, and their FC, grumpy, refused to FC for them and instead began to feed us intel).

This is an alliance that holds more than a dozen Tech moons, yet are so inept, that this weekend we reinforced their primary staging system station and ihub (UQ9). And the blame for all of this, and their squandered funds, lies solely upon the shoulders of their leadership.

So we implore the rest of EVE; please help with the liberation of the SpaceMonkeys. Please help these young pilots see that there is more to EVE than having CTA mining ops, that there is a way to play EVE without terrible leadership and belittlement, and that there is a way to fit your ships that doesn't involve it being shit.

Anyway all propaganda aside, welcome to the new Northern thread. We may be terrible and irrelevant, but goddamnit we have fun too! Venal is primarily occupied by two alliances now, Scrap Iron Flotilla., those stylish, stylish AU TZ lads led by Dark Razer and Kryptyk, and The Retirement Club, the geriatric band of fools that isn't quite sure what to do with all of our spare money.

There are a few other small entities, but I don't think any Corp/Alliance whose specialty is popping unguarded cynos needs particular mention here.

So we were about to drop in to finish off a shitty tower we had reinforced, and it didn't look like we were going to get a fight from this. Instead however, we spotted an SMA carrier sneaking reps on the shield while just poking his head out.

We had our Cyno bomber decloak and ECM burst next to the carrier before it burned in, and then rapecaged the POS while we burned it down.

The Chimera pilot had the very clever idea to pull a Rooks and Kings style maneuver and reset the POS settings to boot the Chimera pilot out, hoping it would propel him out past our ships.

Unfortunately he didn't quite estimate his trajectory right, and landed right in the middle of our T3BC fleet. Whoops. I think there's fraps of this coming soon(tm).
